Kid’s Fishing 2023

The 2023 Kid’s Fishing event was again a great success.  The IEFFC sponsored the bus bringing families from the Ronald McDonald House on Friday, May 5th and the kids had a great time.  Assisting Kid’s Fishing Chairman Floyd Holmes were IEFFC members Eric Apelskog, Stephen Aspinwall, Jerry McBride, Jerry Harms, and Bryan Harman.  The weather was threatening, but the rain held off until right at the end.  All the kids caught fish with the biggest coming in at 24 inches.

On Saturday, May 6th, over 600 kids descended upon Clear Lake and had a wonderful time, as you could tell by the laughter and giggles and hoops and hollers as many youngsters caught their first fish ever.  IEFFC members present on Saturday were Eric Apelskog, Jake Nelson, Bryan Harman, and Floyd Holmes.
